| The trip from Mumbai to Panaji
is a wonderful drive along the (comparably) superb National Highway 17.
While the highway itself is a present drive things get a lot more
interesting when you get off the highway and explore the coast on the west
side and the hills to the east.

| Although the NH17 is the fastest
route to tack this is a journey
best done with detours through the Dandeli wildlife sanctuary and a visit
to the Devbagh Beach resort. One can also enjoy some kayaking and canoeing
along the way if interested.

| The ancient city of Hampi
situated along the southern bank of the Tungabadhra river houses the ruins
of one of India's most powerful kingdoms. Badami is a three hour drive
from Hampi has ancient Buddhist and Jain caves. These temple towns are
connected by good roads and make a lovely trip.
